Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati and Manoj Jarange Patil may join hands to contest State polls
Satara: Former MP Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati has said that the Swarajya Party will contest all seats in the State Assembly elections. They will have no truck with any of the two major alliances – Maha Yuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
He said, “Though he has not discussed a possible alliance with Jarange Patil, they will soon discuss it and will form a third front for the state polls.” He was speaking at the inauguration of Mahamandal Mahaexpo organised by Swarajya Party leader Mahadev Talekar at Bhose in the district. Rajratna Ambedkar was present.
‘Will not align with Maha Yuti or MVA’
Sambhaji Raje said, “We will neither align with the Maha Yuti nor with the MVA. It is more important to discuss how the reservations will sustain rather than just granting it. Earlier, it was given twice. However, it did not last. Care should be taken that no dispute arises between the OBCs and the Marathas.”
Jarange Patil says, they are not serious about the quota
Manoj Jarange Patil said, “People will start visiting from tomorrow. People belonging to all religions and castes should come, along with data. We will discuss issues with them. Those who want to contest the polls should keep their papers ready. The government is giving mere excuses. The two-month deadline is over now. They do not want to give reservations. The Marathas have now decided to defeat them all.
“Nitesh Rane wants to say that Devendra Fadnavis has been isolated. The community can never get isolated. He should ask Fadnavis to grant the reservations. We will decide on August 29. I have not spoken to ‘Shambu Raje’. I have given time till August 29. I have presented 5-7 demands to him. The Maha Yuti and the MVA are blaming each other. They are fooling us. All have realised this.”

Jarange Patil said, “If you do not grant the quota, we will defeat you. No discussion has taken place with the government. Whether to contest of to defeat will be decided. But they will definitely be dethroned. They are using delaying tactics on the pretext of the model code and the assembly session, etc. Do not question Supriya Sule. We are not their servants. We will express our anger through the ballot box.
“It does not take 12 months to grant the reservations. They do not want to give it. You will lose power if you listen to Bhujbal. We will be well prepared. Darekar is a greedy fellow. He only wants power.”
