Pune: Shivshahi Bus Driver Hit Car Under Influence of Alcohol; Police Booked Driver
Pune : The Wanwadi police have arrested the driver of the Shivshahi bus for ramming the four-wheeler car by recklessly driving the bus under the influence of alcohol.
In this case, Ram Madhukar Chite (age 35), a resident of Pimpalgaon Hare, Taluka Pachora, District Jalgaon, filed a complaint at Wanwadi Police Station. Accordingly, police arrested the bus driver of the Shivshahi bus, Mahesh Shivaji Pund (age 32), a resident of Mahalaxmi Hivreta, Nevasa.
As per the police information, the plaintiff works as a conductor at the Pimpri-Chinchwad bus depot. On the morning of August 21, the plaintiff was going to Hyderabad by bus with driver Mahesh Pund and trainee conductor Kushal Kaknate. At the signal of Golibar Maidan, the bus driver, Mahesh Pund, suddenly took the bus to the left side, due to which the car driving from the side got damaged.
At that time, a short argument took place between the plaintiff and the accused. At that time, the plaintiff noticed that the accused was driving the bus under the influence of alcohol. Accordingly, police took the accused to the Sassoon Hospital and conducted his testing. At that time, it was found that the accused had taken alcohol.
Therefore, the accused was arrested and booked for endangering the lives of bus passengers by disregarding traffic rules and driving the bus under the influence of alcohol. Wanwadi police are investigating further into the case.
