Punekars have showered lots of love for me: Satish Govekar (Videos)
Pune: “In my 36 years of service in the police force, I was fortunate to work with excellent officers and dedicated colleagues. I received immense cooperation and love from citizens everywhere I served, especially in Pune, where I spent most of my career. The love I received from Pune is unparalleled, and today’s citizen honour has deeply moved me. This is a memorable moment, with all parties coming together to honour me. My wife Sharmila and my family’s support were crucial during this journey, allowing me to serve with dedication without much concern for my children’s upbringing,” expressed retired Assistant Police Officer Satish Govekar.

He has been awarded the President’s Medal twice, which is a testament to his remarkable service. Punekars are not quick to praise, but the fact that everyone has come together to honor him speaks volumes about his contributions.
