Pune: The State Assembly elections are likely to be held a few months after the Lok Sabha polls 2024. The Maha Yuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will mostly be the two major alliances taking on each other. Meanwhile, BJP leader Pankaja Munde has been given the responsibility of some segments in Pune.

The BJP has devised a big strategy to review the situation in each constituency. Party leaders have been given the responsibility of assembly seats.

BJP leader and MLC Pankaja Munde held a meeting to review the Vadgaon Sheri Assembly seat. But many office-bearers were absent. This has led to talks among political circles.

Besides Vadgaon Sheri, Munde is supposed to look into Khadakwasla and Shivajinagar seats. Munde interacted with office-bearers and workers from Vadgaon Sheri on Wednesday. Around seven BJP corporators were absent for the meeting.

Assembly poll aspirant and former MLA Bapu Pathare and six corporators were among those who preferred to remain absent. This indicates that all is not well in the BJP. There are many aspirants from the BJP. Many of them are former corporators.

It is said that Pathare met Sharad Pawar some days ago. There are discussions that former corporators Anil Tingre is also leaning towards the NCP (SP). Political circles are abuzz with discussions about this.
