Pune: Police Raided Residential House in Bhagyoday Nagar; Seized MD, Weapon, and Mobile Phone Worth Rs 42.26 Lakh

In a significant action, the Anti-Narcotic Cell, Pune, has busted the residential house in Bhagyoday Nagar, Kondhwa, and seized a 202 gram of mephedrone drug, worth Rs 40 lakh. Further, police also seized a country-made pistol from the accused in the action. This is the first incident where police captured arms from the drug dealer.
In this action, police arrested a drug dealer, Sameer Sharif Shaikh (age 22, a resident of Sayyed Kazi Heights, Bhagyoday Nagar, Kondhwa).
During the patrolling of the area, the Police Inspector of the Anti-Narcotic Cell, Ulhas Kadam, and his accomplices received information that an individual named Sameer Shaikh was selling narcotics from his house. Accordingly, police raided Shaikh’s house at Sayyed Qazi Heights in Kondhwa.
In that raid, police seized 202 grams of MD worth Rs 40.40 lakh along with a country-made pistol worth Rs 25,000 and a mobile phone worth Rs 80,000 from him. The collective value of all these goods stands at 42 lakh 26 thousand 500 rupees.
This action was taken by the team of Police Inspector of Anti-Narcotic Cell Ulhas Kadam, Police Sub Inspector Digambar Kokate, Police Ammaldar Sandeep Shirke, Pravin Uttekar, Uttam Sandesh Kakade, Dayanand Telange Patil, Vipul Gaikwad, Yogesh Mohite, Rehana Sheikh, and Ammaldar of Kondhwa Police Station Investigation Squad.
In this, the guidance of senior officials of Pune police, such as the Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingle, also proved useful.
