Pune: In a heartbreaking incident, a 22-year-old newly married wife has committed suicide by hanging in the house after frustrating her husband’s harassment. Surprisingly, she just had a four-month marital relationship, and she had a love marriage with her husband.

The deceased woman has been identified as Sakshi Vishal Sakore (age 22, a resident of Pachwad Kendur, Taluka Shirur). In this regard, her father, Balasaheb Dagdu Daundkar (age 51, a resident of Kanhersar, Taluka Khed), lodged a police complaint at Shikrapur Police Station. Accordingly, police registered a case against the husband of the deceased woman, Vishal Baban Sakore (a resident of Pachwad Kendur, Taluka Shirur).

The deceased woman and the accused, Vishal Sakore, had a love affair between them, and therefore their parents married them on May 10, 2024. After her marriage, Sakshi was living with her husband and in-laws at Pachwad Kendur village in Shirur. However, her husband has been constantly harassing her since their marriage.

The plaintiff mentioned that his daughter’s husband was constantly abusing and assaulting his daughter over her mistakes at work. He was also mentally torturing her. However, when Sakshi was coming to her parent’s house, the accused, Vishal Sakore, was abusing her on a phone call and was immediately taking her to his house.

Surprisingly, her in-laws did not give any idea about these incidences to Sakshi’s parents. The plaintiff accused that he has a suspicion that her in-laws were also harassing her. After bearing the abuse and assault for four months, Sakshi finally ended her life on the midnight of September 4 in her house by hanging.

This incident came to light in the morning the next day. At that time, Vishal called Sakshi’s mother and asked her to come to his house without informing her about their daughter’s suicide. However, as the plaintiff had gone to Ranjangaon MIDC at that time, they could not go to Kendur. After that, the accused called the plaintiff on 4 in the afternoon and informed them that as they could not come in the morning, their daughter committed suicide.

After that, the plaintiff learnt about Sakshi’s suicide from his brother-in-law. The plaintiff also complained that no one from his daughter’s in-laws’ side, including her husband, was present at her last rituals. After performing her last rituals, the plaintiff has now registered a complaint against her husband at Shikrapur Police Station.
