Choose candidates capable of winning: Amit Shah to Maha Yuti

Pune: Union Home Minister Amit Shah landed in Mumbai on Sunday (September 8). His envoy arrived in Sahyadri, the government guesthouse. He held a meeting with the leaders of Maha Yuti.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, DyCM Devendra Fadnavis and DyCM Ajit Pawar were also present. They discussed the impending State Assembly polls. Amit Shah advised the leaders in the backdrop of the elections.

Shah told them to focus on each assembly segment. The campaign should be centred around local development issues and schemes of the State Government. He instructed BJP leaders to avoid disputes in public. Shah said, “Since we are a part of the Maha Yuti, one should have patience and should project an image of unity in the alliance.

“Choose only those candidates who have the ability to win. Keep replying to false statements of the opposition. Performance of some BJP MLAs is not satisfactory. So, take a proper decision about such seats.”

Shah drew BJP leaders’ attention to the internal survey. He told them to spread awareness about the schemes of and decisions made by the State Government.

The Union Minister visited the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati mandap and took ‘Darshan’ of the Bappa. Then he visited homes of DyCM Fadnavis and CM Shinde, where he took ‘Darshan’ of Ganpati idols. The Shah family visits the Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal every year.
