Pune: Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje Visits Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, Emphasizes Cultural Legacy of Ganeshotsav (Videos)
Pune: The festive spirit of Ganeshotsav is in full swing across Pune, attracting crowds from all over seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings. Amidst the celebrations, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje visited the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, where he performed the traditional aarti and took darshan of Lord Ganesha.
During his visit, he was warmly welcomed and honoured by Punit Dada Balan, the head of the festival and a trustee of the trust.
Speaking to the media, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to seek blessings from the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, known as India’s first public Ganesh idol. He also praised Punit Balan for his efforts in fostering a festive atmosphere across Pune during the Ganeshotsav, wishing him success in his endeavours.
When asked about his prayers to Lord Ganesha, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje emphasized unity and progress, saying, “Let us all be happy and work towards building a better Maharashtra.” He highlighted the significance of city in the history of Ganeshotsav, noting that the city’s celebration of the festival had laid the foundation for its widespread celebration across Maharashtra and in the world.
He concluded by encouraging efforts to further promote the cultural heritage of Ganeshotsav, reinforcing its importance in Maharashtra’s traditions.
