Pune: Punit Balan Expresses Emotional Farewell ! “Saying Goodbye to Ganpati Bappa Is Overwhelming”

Pune: Today is the Anant Chaturdashi. After the festivities of ten days, today all the Ganesh devotees will bid adieu to their favourite Lord Ganesha. As it is a very emotional moment for all the Ganesh devotees, almost all people, including common men and celebrities, feel revered and emotional today.
Such is the feeling of Punit Balan, the trustee and chief of the festival of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust. On the day of Ganesh Visarjan (immersion), Punit Balan expressed his feelings while speaking with ‘Policenama’.
He said, “Ganpati Bappa is my Guru (teacher). Saying goodbye to them after ten days is overwhelming for me. The emotion that I am feeling currently is hard to put into words.”
“Ganpati Bappa is my Guru. Saying goodbye to them today feels like a family member is going away from me. It will take the next ten to fifteen days for me to come out of this emotion. But let’s keep the memories of this Ganeshotsav in our minds and eagerly wait for the next Ganeshotsav,” Punit Balan added.
Punit Balan further said that devotees who come here during the ten days of Ganeshotsav come not for him or the workers, but because this Ganpati fulfils their wishes. “It is a place of worship for people. So we try to give them proper darshan and satisfaction. We pay attention to every little thing so that people will not be inconvenienced. During this time, all the workers talk to the devotees with affection and gentleness. This is the real service of the god,” said Punit Balan.
