Chakan Police Solve Murder: Nephew Confesses to Killing Uncle Over Long-Standing Grudge
Pune : The police have successfully uncovered the brutal murder that took place in the Mungse Wasti of Rase village in the Chakan area. Police discovered that the nephew has killed his own maternal uncle by strangling him and by assaulting with a wooden stick on his face.
The deceased individual has been identified as Sandeep Shivaji Khande (age 40, a resident of Thakar Wadi, Rase, Taluka Khed). In this regard, police have arrested Suresh Dnyaneshwar Mengal (age 37, a resident of Thakar Wasti, Rase, Taluka Khed) and his friend Dileep, alias Tapal Pandurang Aghan.
As per the police information, a dead body of a man was found on September 19 in a bush on the farm embankment of Wadekar near Mungse Wasti in Rase village. His face was mutilated due to a severe beating. Upon the investigation, police found the identity of the deceased man as Sandeep Khande.
After that, police started searching for the reason behind his murder. At that time, police learnt that his nephew, Dnyaneshwar Mengal, had a troubled relationship with him. Accordingly, police detained Dnyaneshwar Mengal and interrogated him in connection with the murder. However, Mengal was giving vague answers.
After the stringent police action, Mengal finally confessed that he and his friend terminated Sandeep Khande. He said that for the past six months, his distant maternal uncle Sandeep Khande was beating and abusing him in front of people for small and trivial reasons. So he had been looking for the opportunity for six months to kill him.
On the night of September 18, the accused cleverly took inebriated Khande to a deserted place in the farm of Wadekar in Rase village limits and again gave him alcohol and made him sleep. After that, the accused went back to the village and brought his friend, Dileep alias Tapal Aghan, to the farm, where he killed Sandeep Khande with his help.
The Dileep Aghan assaulted on the face of Khande with a wooden stick, and in the meantime, the accused strangled Khande to death. After Khande was dead, the accused pushed Khande into the nearby bush.
After Suresh Mengal gave confession, he was arrested. Further, Crime Branch Unit 3 Senior Police Inspector Shailesh Gaikwad and his team arrested the second accused, Dileep alias Tapal Pandurang Aghan.
This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Pramod Wagh, Senior Police Inspector Shailesh Gaikwad, Police Inspector Natha Gharge, Assistant Police Inspector Prasanna Jarhad, Kunda Gawde, Ganpat Dhaygude, Police Sub-Inspector Abhijit Chaugule, Sandeep Borkar, Sachin Morkhande, Prakash Katkade, Police Ammaldar Hanumant Kamble, Bhairoba Yadav, Sunil Shinde, Shivaji Chavan, Sudarshan Barde, Sunil Bhagwat, Mahesh Koli, Uddhav Garje, Mahadev Bikkad, Revnath Khedkar, Sharad Khairnar, Nitin Gunjal, and Mangesh Phapale.
Further, Commissioner of Police Vinoy Kumar Choubey, Joint Commissioner of Police Dr. Shashikant Mahavarkar, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Shivaji Pawar, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajendra Singh Gaur also provided their significant assistance and guidance in resolving the case.
