Pune: BJP will campaign for NCP (SP) in Maval, alleges NCP (AP) MLA Sunil Shelke
Pune / Maval: The NCP (AP) is proving a headache for the BJP in the Maha Yuti. Rebellion is likely to happen in many segments as there are more than one aspirants in the Maha Yuti.
Meanwhile, NCP (AP) MLA from Maval Sunil Shelke said, “BJP workers are telling their colleagues not to campaign for the NCP (AP) candidate in Maval. They are ready to campaign for the NCP (SP) candidate, if fielded.” His statement has triggered a controversy.
Addressing the media, Shelke said, “Some BJP leaders are visiting villages and telling their workers not to help the NCP (AP) in the poll. Ajit Pawar has done good work and the Maval MLA has also performed well.
“Their tone was different during the Lok Sabha polls. They were saying that the NCP (AP) would strengthen the alliance and everyone should follow the Maha Yuti’s ethical code. Now, they are visiting villages and asking their party workers not to help Ajit Pawar.
“BJP leaders are provoking their workers. The leaders are confusing them. They are showing how loyal they are to the party.”
Now, it is being discussed who would be the NCP (SP) candidate in Maval.
