Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi declares first list of 11 candidates for the State Assembly elections
Pune: The two major alliances in the State, Maha Yuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi, are still finalising their seat-sharing formula. But the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) has taken the lead and announced the first list of 11 candidates for the State Assembly elections.
VBA President Prakash Ambedkar and office-bearers addressed a press meet, in which the list was published. Among the candidates and the assembly segments are Shamibha Patil – Raver, Savita Mundhe – Sindkhed Raja, Megha Kiran Dongre – Washim, Nilesh Vishwakarma – Dhamangaon Railway, Vinay Bhange – Nagpur (South-West), Dr Avinash Nanhe – Sakoli, Farooq Ahmed – Nanded (South), Shiva Narangale – Loha, Vikas Dandge – Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (East), Kisan Chavan – Shevgaon and Sangram Mane – Khanpur.
Prakash Ambedkar said, “Allegations have been levelled against us. However, we have given opportunity to candidates from various communities as against casteist politics of other parties in the State.”
