Pune: Notorious Criminal Arrested by Bharti Vidyapeeth Police for Violating Tadipar Order, Death Threats to Girl

In a significant action, the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police have arrested a notorious criminal, who was declared tadipar, after he issued death threats to the girl and breached the tadipar order. The police have arrested him and seized a machete from him.
The arrested accused has been identified as Datta Rahul Kadam (age 23, a resident of Anjali Nagar, Katraj). In this regard, Police Ammaldar Navnath Bhosale has made a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.
This incident took place at five o’clock in the evening on Thursday in a society in Mangdewadi, Jadhav Nagar.
Datta Kadam and his accomplices tried to kill Prakash Renuse by assaulting him with an iron rod on December 13, 2022. In this assault, Prakash Renuse died on December 19 while undergoing treatment at Sassoon Hospital.
After that, Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil had declared Datta Kadam as tadipar in August 2023 to curb his increasing criminal activities in the area. Since then, Datta Kadam was tadipar.
Meanwhile, on Thursday evening, when Police Ammaldar Navnath Bhosale and his colleague Vitekar were patrolling as police marshals, they received a call from a woman from the police control room. In the phone call, the woman informed them that a person had entered her house and was threatening her daughter with a machete in the hand.
After that, the police immediately reached the woman’s society. They found that a large number of people had gathered in the woman’s society’s parking. When police went to the woman’s house, they found that the accused, Datta Kadam, was threatening and abusing the people by brandishing a machete in the air. He threatened the woman’s girl. He said, “If you do not become mine, I will not leave anyone alive of your family.” He further threatened her to commit suicide.
After that, Police Ammaldar Bhosale and Vitekar arrested him with a machete and brought him to Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. In this regard, a case has been registered against him under the Arms Act and the breach of tadipar order. Police sub-inspector Nilesh Mokashi is investigating further into the case.
