Pune: Man Assaults Wife and In-Laws After She Fails to Answer Phone Calls; Father-in-Law Loses Tooth

Pune: A disturbing incident has come to light. A furious husband went to his in-law’s house and injured the wife by hitting her mobile phone on her head after she did not pick up his phone calls. Further, the accused also injured his mother-in-law and hit the mobile phone on his father-in-law’s mouth. In this assault, a tooth of his father-in-law fell.

In this regard, the father-in-law of the individual, Ravindra, Vitthal Sonawane (age 55, a resident of Samarth Housing Society, Rupee Nagar, Talwade), files a complaint at Chikhali Police Station. Accordingly, police registered a complaint against Amol Arun Gaikwad (age 30, a resident of Rupee Nagar, Talwade).

This incident took place on September 20 around 5.30 p.m. at the plaintiff’s house.

According to the information given by the police, the plaintiff was at home with his wife Mangal Sonawane and daughter Pooja Gaikwad on September 20. At that time, the plaintiff’s son-in-law came to their house angrily. He then argued with his wife, Pooja Gaikwad, over the reason of not receiving his phone. He then injured Pooja by hitting a mobile phone on her head.

Further, when the plaintiff’s wife, Mangal Sonawane, tried to mediate between them, the accused also beat her. While the plaintiff was trying to resolve their dispute, his son-in-law beat the plaintiff by hitting his mobile phone on his ear and face. In this assault, the ear of the plaintiff was injured and one of his teeth fell out.

Police sub-inspector S.S. Deokar is investigating further into this incident.
