The incident took place on Tuesday (October 8). It triggered discussions in the media about the possible identity of the leader and his purpose of visit. It is said that the leader was most likely to be former minister Rajendra Shingne. He may join the NCP (SP).
After the video of the person hiding his face behind a file went viral on social media, many claimed that the person was Rajendra Shingne. He joined the NCP (AP) after the split in the party. It is said that he may contest the State Assembly election on the trumpeter symbol.
MLA Shingne represents Sindkhedraja. Recently, he said in a public function that it was a compulsion that he supported Ajit Pawar and praised Sharad Pawar. It was the birthday function of former MLA Suresh Deshmukh in Wardha, where Pawar and Shingne shared the dais. Shingne thanked Sharad Pawar and claimed that he always cooperated with him.
Shingne said, “I have been working for the past 30 years under the leadership of Sharad Pawar, who has built my political career. I will always remain grateful towards him throughout my life. Earlier, I was in trouble due to the District Cooperative Bank. Therefore, I chose to support Ajit Pawar. Now, the State Government has given Rs 300 crore to the bank. However, I will always respect Sharad Pawar.”
Reacting to this, Supriya Sule said, “It is our fortune that people belonging to all parties speak well about Sharad Pawar, who has always differentiated between politics and personal relations. Rajendra Shingne is a part of our family. He was restless due to problems with the bank. He is a sensitive leader. He was trying to solve bank issues so that depositors did not have to suffer.”
