Ladki Bahin Yojana December instalment will be paid in November: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
Mumbai: The Mukhamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana is currently the most discussed government scheme in the State. Beneficiaries have got instalments of Rs 1,500 per month till November.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde broke the news on Diwali Padva about the instalment of December. The CM also said that he wanted to make his ‘dear sisters’ Lakhpatis (possessing Rs 1 lakh and above).
Shinde said, “We paid the November instalment in October considering that the Model Code of Conduct would not allow its disbursal. I assure you (Ladki Bahin) today that the State polls will take place on November 20 and its results will be out on November 23. We will distribute the December instalment in November only. Because our intentions are clear. We do not believe in taking but in giving.
“Our dear sisters will not forgive those who are trying to put hurdles in the scheme’s smooth functioning. They will punish them and are aware about step brothers. We will not stop at Rs 1,500. We will increase the amount if our dear sisters bless us (with votes). It is my dream to make my dear sisters ‘Lakhpati’.”
