Pune: Faraskhana Police Apprehend a Serial Burglar; Seize 4.57 lakh in Action

In a significant action, the Faraskhana police have arrested a man from a father-son duo involved in burglary and seized goods worth Rs 4 lakh 57 thousand 200 from them. The arrested individual has been identified as Faiyaz Raj Mohammad Sheikh, and he is a resident of Satyanand Nagar, Mitha Nagar, Kondhwa.

There was an incident of burglary reported in the Faraskhana police station area on November 3. In this regard, Senior Police Inspector Prashant Bhasme of Faraskhana Police Station had instructed officers Vaibhav Gaikwad and Arvind Shinde of the investigation team to conduct the investigation. Accordingly, the police checked CCTV footage from the area around the incident and traced the vehicle used by the accused.

In the subsequent technical investigation, it was revealed that the crime was committed by an on-record criminal, Rayyan alias Faeem Sheikh, and his father, who arrived in a red Burgman bike at the spot at the time of burglary.
As per the information received by Police Ammaldar Pravin Pasalkar, Gajanan Sonune, and Mahesh Rathod, police arrested Faiyaz Sheikh.

During the investigation, police seized gold ornaments weighing 36 grams, a silver brick weighing 500 grams, silver ornaments weighing 100 grams, cash worth Rs 55,000, and the motorcycle used in the crime, totalling Rs 4 lakh 57 thousand 200 from him.

This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Prashant Bhasme, Crime Inspector Ajit Jadhav, Assistant Police Inspector Vaibhav Gaikwad, Police Sub-Inspector Arvind Shinde, Assistant Faujdar Mehbub Mokashi, Police Ammaldar Pravin Pasalkar, Gajanan Sonune, Mahesh Rathod, Vaibhav Swami, Tanaji Nangre, Nitin Telange, Sandeep Kamble, Vishal Shinde, Kishor Shinde, Nitin Jadhav, Arjun Kudalkar, Sameer Malvadkar, Sumit Khutte, Mahesh Pawar, Shashikant Nanaware, and Chetan Holkar under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Nutan Pawar.
