Pune : In a dramatic investigation, the Pune rural police revealed the murder of the individual based on the half-burnt wood in the cemetery of Tawashi village in Indapur. In this regard, the police have arrested two culprits, Dadasaheb Maruti Harihar (age 30) and his friend Vishal Sadashiv Khilare (age 23), both residents of Phaltan, District Satara.
The deceased individual has been identified as Haribhau Dhuraji Jagtap (age 74, a resident of Gangakhed, Parbhani). This information was given by Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh.
On November 16, the Pune rural police got the information from Tawashi Police Patil that human organs were burning in the wood in the cemetery at Tawashi village in Indapur taluka, with a large amount of blood lying on the side. After that, Walchand Nagar Police Station Officer Rajkumar Dunage and his colleagues immediately reached the spot. They saw completely burnt bones on the iron grate of the crematorium, and blood spilt at some distance. But they did not identify what was burning there.
To solve the mystery behind it, a team from Walchand Nagar Police Station and the Local Crime Branch was formed as per the instructions given by Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, Additional Superintendent of Police Ganesh Biradar, and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dr. Sudarshan Rathod. They then conducted an investigation in Indapur, Malshiras, and Phaltan talukas to determine which warehouse the wood found in the cemetery belonged to. In this, they found that the wood used in the cemetery was purchased by the accused, Dadasaheb Harihar and Vishal Khilare, from a wood warehouse in Gunaware village of Phaltan taluka.
After that, the police took two accused into custody. In the subsequent police investigation, the accused informed that the deceased Haribhau Jagtap was taking an interest in the wife of the accused Dadasaheb Harihar, and from this anger, both the accused conspired and murdered Jagtap while taking him to the yatra of Satoba in Gangakhed from Takewadi in Maan taluka.
They killed Jagtap by beating him on the head with a wooden stick after stopping the car near the cemetery in Tawashi village at midnight for urinating. They then burnt him in the cemetery to destroy evidence. In this regard, the police informed Haribhau Jagtapās son Sachin Jagtap (age 46, a resident of Kolhapur) about the incident and registered a complaint against both the accused.
After this incident, police are being applauded by all, as only with the evidence of burnt bricks, they solve the mystery of the murder.
