Nagpur tea vendor to attend swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister
Mumbai: The Maha Yuti government’s swearing-in ceremony will take place on December 5. A tea vendor from Nagpur will specially visit Mumbai to attend the programme. Devendra Fadnavis is set to become the new Chief Minister. Fadnavis has invited some special people for the oath-taking from Nagpur and Gopal Bawankule, the tea vendor, is one of them.
Gopal Bawankule has his tea stall at Ram Nagar in Nagpur. He has displayed a photo of Fadnavis at his shop. He said, “He is my idol and I have hung his photo out of my affection towards him. I got an invitation from his office for the programme.” He was speaking to a Marathi news channel.
Earlier, Fadnavis went to have tea at Bawankule’s stall. He invited Fadnavis to his stall again after becoming the Chief Minister, to which Fadnavis said ‘yes’.
Gopal Bawankule said that he was happy for Fadnavis. He would visit Mumbai for the swearing-in ceremony. But his stall would continue to operate that day to distribute free tea to their customers to celebrate the occasion.
