Pune: Minor Girl Found Seven Weeks Pregnant; Minor Accused Booked

In a shocking turn of events, a 14-year-old girl has been found to be seven weeks pregnant. This incident came to light after the mother of the minor girl lodged a complaint at Chandan Nagar Police Station.
In this regard, Chandan Nagar Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against a 16-year-old minor. The incident occurred near the plaintiff’s house between September 2022 and November 7, 2024.
The plaintiff’s daughter is 14 years and 9 months old. As per the police information, a 16-year-old boy residing near the plaintiff’s house had a love on the plaintiff’s daughter. Therefore, by luring her with a marriage promise, the minor accused repeatedly kept sexual relations with the minor girl. Due to which, the girl became pregnant.
After the girl’s mother noticed the fact that her daughter was six weeks pregnant, she lodged a complaint at Chandan Nagar Police Station. Police Sub-Inspector Ashwini Patil is investigating further in this case.
