Drunk Driver Crushed Nine People in Midnight Rash Driving in Wagholi; Three Killed, Six Injured

In a heart-wrenching incident, an inebriated dumper driver drove his speeding dumper on nine people who were sleeping on the pavement of the road. In this, three people have been killed, including two children, and six people have sustained major injuries.

This incident took place at Kesnand Phata in Wagholi at around 12:30 midnight, and police have arrested the accused dumper driver. The name of the dumper driver is Gajanan Shankar Totre (age 26), and he is a resident of Nanded.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Vaibhavi Ritesh Pawar (age 1), Vaibhav Ritesh Pawar (age 2), and Vishal Vinod Pawar (age 22). Apart from them, six other individuals have sustained major injuries in this accident, and they are receiving treatment in the Sassoon hospital.

The names of the individuals who are injured in this accident are Janaki Dinesh Pawar (age 21), Rinisha Vinod Pawar (age 18), Roshan Shashadu Bhosale (age 9), Nagesh Nivrutti Pawar (age 27), Dashrun Sanjay Vairal (age 18), and Alisha Vinod Pawar (age 47).

As per the information, all these individuals are original residents of Amravati, and they all had come to Pune four years ago in search of employment. Yesterday, around between 10 and 11 p.m., these individuals were sleeping on the pavement near Kesnand Phata in Wagholi. At that time, the accused dumper driver crushed these people under the influence of alcohol.

Upon learning about the incident, police immediately rushed to the scene and admitted the injured individuals into the Sassoon hospital. The police soon arrested the dumper driver. It is learnt that the health of three of six injured individuals is critical at the moment.
