Pune: Shocking Axe Assault on Contractor in Yerawada Over Immoral Relationship Charges

A shocking incident transpired in Yerawada, where a young man attacked a contractor with an axe on the head on suspicion of having an immoral relationship. In this attack, the contractor sustained a large wound near his head and also sustained injuries to both his hands when he attempted to defend himself from an axe attack.
In this regard, Ritesh Laxman Pardeshi (age 48, a resident of Jai Jawan Nagar, Yerawada) lodged a formal police complaint at Yerawada Police Station. Accordingly, Yerawada police booked Umesh Ramesh Waghmare (age 38, a resident of Balaji Nagar, Dhankawadi) under the charges of attempted murder.
This incident took place at 11:15 a.m. on Monday near the Jai Shakti Mandal in Jai Jawan Nagar, Yerawada.
The plaintiff, Ritesh Pardeshi, is a contractor. As per the police information, he was going on his bike on Monday morning from Yerawada. At that time, the accused, Umesh Waghmare, obstructed his route and started assaulting Pardeshi, accusing him of having an immoral relationship. In a fit of anger, he struck an axe on the plaintiff’s head.
As the impact of the blow was severe, Pardeshi fell on the ground from his bike. Further, Waghmare struck him several times with the axe. As the plaintiff attempted to evade the accused’s blow with his hands, he also sustained serious injuries to his hands.
Pardeshi is currently being treated at the hospital, and Police Sub-Inspector Shinde is investigating further in this case.
