Pune: Yerawada Police Nab Accused for Illegally Selling Ganja, Seized 24 Kg Ganja from Him

In a significant action, the Yerawada Police have arrested a 19-year-old young man who was illegally trying to sell ganja. The arrested accused has been identified as Vitthal Santosh Gumane, and he is a resident of Kanjarbhat Vasti, Yerawada.
A few days ago, when Yerawada police were patrolling in the area, Police Amaldar Amol Gaikwad and Vishal Nilakh received a tip-off from their informant that an unknown person was coming to Tadi Gutta Chowk to sell illicit ganja. Accordingly, Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Solunke conveyed the information to his seniors and laid a trap at Tadi Gutta Chowk.
In the night, at around 10:30 p.m., the police found Vitthal Gumane standing suspiciously in Tadi Gutta Chowk with his bike. After that, police detained him. Upon further investigation, police found 24 kg of ganja in the under seat storage of his scooter.
This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Sunil Solunke, Constable Datta Shinde, Tushar Kharade, Kiran Ghute, Sagar Jagdale, Police Amaldar Anil Shinde, Dattatray Shinde, Prashant Kamble, Vishal Nilakh, Amol Gaikwad, Balaji Soge, and Swapnil Gholap under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, Assistant Police Commissioner Pranjali Sonawane, Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke, and Crime Inspector Pallavi Meher.
