Pune: Cop sexually abuses minor girl in Lonavala, arrested

Pune: A drunkard policeman was arrested for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl at the foothills of the Visapur Fort on Wednesday (December 25). He offered her a chocolate and told her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

However, the girl narrated the matter to her parents. A complaint was lodged against the drunkard cop at the Lonavala Police Station. The accused, Sachin Saste, was interrogated by the police. Saste is also posted at the Lonavala Police Station.

According to the details, the accused policeman was drunk and was on duty when the incident took place. Saste was arrested by the Lonavala Police. He was on the bandobast duty at the fort as tourist crowded the place on Christmas holiday. He had lunch at a hotel nearby. When he paid the bill, he was drunk.

He saw the minor girl there. He went behind the hotel on the pretext of urinating, where he sexually abused the minor girl. When she resisted, he gave her a chocolate and told her not to disclose it to anyone. Later, the minor’s parents approached the Lonavala Police and Saste was arrested.
