Pune: Lohegaon Youth Arrested with 816 Grams of Ganja Worth Rs 16,320 in Police Crackdown on Drug Trade

In the recent days, the police have tightened their grip on the illegal sale of narcotic substances in the city. In the backdrop of this, the police have arrested a young man for selling ganja while standing in an open space in Lohegaon. The police have seized 816 grams of ganja, a mobile phone, and small plastic bags from him.
The name of the arrested person is Akash Tukaram Jadhav (age 23, a resident of Bharat Mata Nagar, Lohegaon, and an original resident of Deva Nagar, Taluka Lonar, District Buldhana).
While the Anti-Narcotics Cell was patrolling in the city, they learnt that a young man was standing in an open space near a closed sheet shed near Shiv Shambho Snack Centre in Lohegaon, with a nylon bag in his hand, waiting for someone. The police immediately went there and arrested the accused, Akash Jadhav.
In further investigation, police seized 816 grams of ganja worth Rs 16,320, a mobile phone, and 46 small plastic bags from him.
This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Ulhas Kadam, Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote, Police Amaldar Sujit Wadekar, Dnyaneshwar Ghorpade, Vinayak Salve, Sandeep Shirke, Pravin Uttekar, Dattaram Jadhav, Vipul Gaikwad, and Rehana Sheikh under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingle.
