Pune: Senior account assistants in Symbiosis misappropriate Rs 2.47 crore through online forgery, booked

Pune: Two senior account assistants from the Bengaluru office of Symbiosis misused their position and misappropriated around Rs 2.47 crore through an online forgery and cheated the institution.
Symbiosis Centre of Management Studies Head Jagannath Raghunath Pathare (68), resident of Kothrud, lodged a complaint at the Deccan Gymkhana Police Station. The police registered an offence against Sindhu N (35) and Vijay N, both residents of Bengaluru. The incident took place at the main office of Symbiosis on SB Road between August 20, 2022 and November 8, 2024.
According to the police, Sindhu N and Vijay N were working as senior account assistants at the Bengaluru office of the Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies.
They misused their official position and conspired with others. They duped the institution of Rs 2,47,4,649 by forging approved official papers. PI Prasad Raut was investigating the case.
