Pune: Routine Check Leads to Big Break! Police Arrest Burglar, Solve 7 Theft Cases, Recover Rs 7.4 Lakh in Stolen Goods

While investigating the suspicious individual about the motorcycle, the police frisked him. However, in a surprising revelation, police found the stolen jewellery that was robbed by an individual from housebreaking. Further, police found that the motorcycle used by the individual was also stolen by him. In this way, the team from Unit 6 of the Crime Branch uncovered 5 cases of house burglary and 2 cases of vehicle theft.
In this regard, the Crime Branch Police have arrested the individual. The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul Dagdu Shinde (age 32, a resident of Pirangut). Police have seized 87 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs 6,40,322, along with goods worth Rs 7,40,322, from him in connection with theft, burglary, and vehicle theft in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad areas.
As usual, the police officers of Unit 6 of the Crime Branch and police amaldar were patrolling in the Wagholi area. At that time, Police Amaldar Nitin Mundhe received a tip-off suggesting that the accused in the housebreaking cases was standing near D Mart on Lohegaon-Wagholi Road. Accordingly, the team went there and confirmed. At that time, police found that the accused, Rahul Shinde, was standing there with a motorcycle.
When police enquired about the motorcycle, he started giving vague answers to them. After that, when police searched him, police found various gold ornaments weighing 87 grams with him. During further interrogation, he confessed that he had stolen the motorcycle and the ornaments.
During further investigation, police found that the gold ornaments were stolen by the accused breaking into houses in the Lonikand and Loni Kalbhor areas. A total of 7 cases have been revealed by police, including 3 cases of burglary in the Lonikand police station, 2 cases in the Loni Kalbhor police station, and one each of vehicle theft in the Ravet and Lashkar police stations.
As per the information, there are several cases of theft, housebreaking, and vehicle theft that have been registered against Rahul Dagdu Shinde in Pune city and Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerates.
This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Madan Kamble, Police Amaldar Nitin Mundhe, Kanifnath Karkhele, Balasaheb Sakte, Sachin Pawar, Rishikesh Takawane, Rishikesh Vyavahare, Balasaheb Tanpure, Ganesh Dongre, Nitin Dhadge, Pratiksha Pansare, and Suhas Tambekar under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, Assistant Police Commissioner Rajendra Mulik, and Police Inspector Wahid Pathan.
