Pune: Major Drug Bust! Anti-Narcotics Cell Raids Three Locations in a Single Day, Seizes MD & Ganja Worth Rs 25.51 Lakh, Arrests Three (Video)
Pune : In a significant action, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC Pune) conducted operations at three locations on the same day and seized Mephedrone (MD) and ganja worth Rs 25.51 lakh. This action was taken at Sant Nagar on Lohegaon-Wagholi Road, Anand Nagar in Bibwewadi, and the Viman Nagar areas, and the police have arrested three people in this crackdown.
Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad and his staff of the Anti-Narcotics Cell were patrolling in the Viman Nagar area. At that time, Police Amaldar Chetan Gaikwad received the news that an individual was standing on the Lohegaon-Wagholi road, possessing illegal narcotics. Accordingly, the police arrested Kumail Mohammed Tamboli (age 28, a resident of Sukhakarta Apartment, Gokul Nagar, Dhanori) from Sant Nagar on Lohegaon Wagholi Road. Police seized 83 grams of Mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 19,17,300 from his possession.
Similarly, based on the tip-off received by Police Amaldar Azim Sheikh, police arrested Saifan, alias Shafiq Ismail Sheikh (age 52, a resident of Anand Nagar), from Anand Nagar Bibwewadi Road in Market Yard and seized 350 grams of ganja worth Rs 7,000 from his possession.
Further, on the same day, police took action in front of the Maruti Suzuki showroom on the road leading from Viman Nagar Chowk to Shri Krishna Hotel Chowk based on the information received by Police Amaldar Sandeep Shirke. In this action, police arrested Kiran Bhausaheb Tujare (age 24, a resident of Shri Building, Avhalwadi, Wagholi). Police seized goods worth Rs 6 lakh 27 thousand from his possession, including 30 grams 35 mg of mephedrone.
