Pune: Civil Engineer Dies After Speeding Truck Rams Into Bike in Mulshi

A tragic accident occurred in Nere Dattawadi, Mulshi taluka, where a young civil engineer lost his life after a speeding truck collided with his two-wheeler.
The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Balasaheb Sane, a 25-year-old resident of Sane Vasti, Nere, Mulshi. A complaint regarding the incident was filed at Bavdhan Police Station by his father Balasaheb Rambhau Sane, aged 65.
According to the police, Balasaheb Sane is a farmer and dairy businessman. His son, Pankaj, was working as a civil engineer with a construction company at Sakhare Vasti in Hinjawadi. On April 10, at around 8:15 p.m., while returning home on his bike, Pankaj was hit from behind by a speeding truck near Dhamale Nagar in Nere.
Balasaheb tried to call Pankaj around the time of the incident, but the phone was answered by another person, who informed him that Pankaj had been struck by a heavy-duty truck and sustained a head injury. Pankaj was immediately rushed to a hospital, but he was declared dead before the doctors could begin treatment.
A case has been registered against the truck driver at Bavdhan Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
