Pune: Spa in Vadgaon Sheri Raided for Running Sex Racket Under the Guise of Massage; Case Filed Against Woman Manager and Two Others
Pune: Police raided a spa in Vadgaon Sheri that was allegedly operating a prostitution racket under the guise of offering massage services. A case has been filed against the woman manager and two male owners.
The accused have been identified as spa manager Riya Ranjit Sharma (21, resident of Panchshil Villa, Chandan Nagar), Sandeep Tripathi, and Rahul Jadhav (resident of Vadgaon Sheri).
Police constable Varsha Sawant lodged the complaint at Chandan Nagar Police Station. The raid was conducted on May 28 around 3 PM at “Srishti Spa” located in Shailesh Complex, Anand Park, Vadgaon Sheri.
According to police, they received a tip-off that prostitution was being conducted at the spa under the pretense of massage services. An undercover decoy customer was sent in for confirmation. Upon receiving the signal from him, police conducted a raid.
Two women were allegedly lured with the promise of more money and pushed into prostitution under the guise of working at a spa. A case has been registered against the manager and two spa owners. The two women were rescued from the premises.
The case is being investigated by Senior Police Inspector Seema Dhakne.
