Pune: Woman Slips While Taking Photos at Rajgad Fort, Falls 400 Feet to Death

Pune: A tragic incident occurred at Rajgad Fort when Komal Satish Shinde (23), a resident of Alandi (Tal. Khed), lost her life after slipping and falling into a 400-foot-deep gorge while clicking photos with her husband near the Balekilla (citadel) area of the fort.
According to preliminary information, the mishap was reported to Yogesh Raghunath Daradighe, who immediately informed the local police station. In response, the police contacted the Haveli Disaster Management Rescue Team for assistance.
The rescue team quickly reached the spot, retrieved Komal Shinde’s body, and handed it over to the police and her family.
Officials and personnel involved in the rescue operation included:
Tanaji Bhosale, Ganesh Sapkal, Sanjay Chorge, Sandeep Solaskar, Nilesh Jadhav, Sunny Mane, Yogesh Daradighe, Vishwas Shirke, and Police Station staffer Yuvraj Somvanshi.
The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom in the region.
