Pune: Man Attempts to Harass Young Woman at Garware Metro Station; Deccan Police File Case Against ‘Road Romeo’
Pune: A shocking incident of harassment has surfaced at Pune’s Garware Metro Station, where a man followed a young woman and made inappropriate remarks like “I really like you,” attempting to shame and intimidate her. The Deccan Police have registered a case against the accused.
The accused has been identified as Omkar Shivaji Olse (26, resident of Pizza Office, Chandni Chowk). The incident occurred near the metro office on November 25 and 26 around 10:30 AM.
According to police, the young woman had just exited the station when Olse followed her and said, “Why can’t I look at you? I want to talk to you. Come to the parking area—I’ll talk to you there. I like you a lot.” His actions caused distress and embarrassment to the woman.
Hearing her screams, police rushed to the spot and detained the accused. Senior PI Girisha Nimbalakar, PSI Ajitkumar Patil, and Sandeep Kadam responded promptly. A case has been registered, and a notice has been issued. PSI Ashwini Pawar is conducting further investigation.
