Pune: “100 Days, 100 Works” ! Two Candidates Set the Development Agenda Even Before Results
Pune: Contesting from Wards 3 and 4, Surendra Pathare and Aishwarya Pathare have made a distinct mark in the city’s political landscape by unveiling a concrete development roadmap even before the election results. Their ambitious initiative, “100 Days, 100 Works,” has put them at the center of public discussion.
Inspired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ 100-day action program, the plan is built on three key pillars: good governance, urban problem-solving, and civic responsibility. “Winning elections matters, but winning public trust matters more,” is the core message of this initiative.
Priority Plan for the First 100 Days
1) Ward Audit and Citizen Outreach Drive
The first step focuses on understanding ground realities through direct public engagement.
Door-to-door visits to identify citizens’ issues
Collecting complaints and suggestions via digital platforms
Identifying the top 10 critical issues in the ward
Publishing a Ward Status Report within 30 days, accessible to the public
This report will guide phased implementation and regular reviews.
2) Cleanliness and Solid Waste Management Campaign
Addressing one of the city’s biggest challenges, the plan prioritizes sanitation.
Daily monitoring of garbage collection
Removal of garbage black spots and illegal dumping sites
Effective implementation of waste segregation in societies and slum areas
Public awareness drives to promote cleanliness
3) Improvement of Basic Civic Amenities
Immediate attention will be given to day-to-day infrastructure needs.
Prompt repair of streetlights
Footpath repairs and enhanced pedestrian safety
Clean, garbage-free lanes and internal roads
Development of safe, clean parks and playgrounds
Governance Over Politics
Surendra and Aishwarya Pathare emphasize that this initiative goes beyond election promises, focusing on timelines, transparency, and accountability. “Running a ward isn’t about sitting in offices and files it’s about being on the streets and getting work done,” they assert.
Regardless of the election outcome, this 100-day roadmap with its message of “Work First, Politics Later” has already sparked strong conversations among voters and positioned development at the forefront of the campaign.
