Pune witnessed a grand and devotional celebration of Ganesh Janmotsav at the historic Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, which is known as India’s first public Ganpati mandal. The festival was celebrated with immense enthusiasm through a series of religious and cultural programs including Ganesh Yagya, Atharvashirsha chanting, bhajans, and a traditional city procession (Nagar Pradakshina). Devotees thronged the temple throughout the day for darshan of Lord Ganesha.

The procession route passed through Faraskhana – Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple – Appa Balwant Chowk – Dakshinmukhi Maruti Temple, before returning to the main temple, and became a major attraction due to its floral decorations.

At 8:30 PM, the Mahaaarti was performed by Satyasheel Rajguru, a descendant of martyr Hutatma Shivram Hari Rajguru.
