DyCM Ajit Pawar’s mother prays to God Vitthal for NCP’s reunification

Pandharpur: The NCP was split in July 2023. Consequently, two opposing camps led by NCP (AP) President and DyCM Ajit Pawar and NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar were formed.

This has also seen a political split in the family. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule won against her sister-in-law NCP (AP) candidate Sunetra Pawar in the Lok Sabha elections while Ajit Pawar defeated his nephew Yugendra Pawar in the State Assembly polls from Baramati.

Ajit Pawar’s mother Ashatai Pawar sought blessings of Maharashtra’s deity Vitthal. She prayed for the reunification between Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar.

Ashatai’s prayer to God Vitthal

Ashatai Pawar said, “I sought blessings from Pandurang that the people of Maharashtra should be happy in New Year. Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar should join hands again. I think they will come together this year. I prayed for their reunion. I am confident that Pandurang will listen to my prayer.”

Her statement has raised many eyebrows in political circles.
