Pune : Builder Amit Lunkad, Associates Booked in Alleged Land Grabbing and Threat Case
Viman Nagar Police Register FIR Against 35–40 Individuals Over Forced Entry, Property Damage in Wadgaon Sheri
Pune: The Viman Nagar Police in Pune have registered a criminal case against businessman and builder Amit Lunkad, along with several associates and 35 to 40 unidentified persons, for allegedly attempting to forcibly take possession of a private plot in Wadgaon Sheri by damaging the compound gate and threatening the landowners.
The complaint was filed by Ravindra Hiralal Dugad (58), a resident of Bibvewadi and owner of the Dugad Group construction business.
According to police officials, the incident took place on May 7, 2026, between 5 PM and 6 PM at Survey No. 30 in Ramwadi, Wadgaon Sheri.
Group Allegedly Entered Plot with Tractors and Dumpers
As per the FIR, the accused allegedly arrived at the site with eight to ten tractors, multiple dumpers, and water tankers. They reportedly broke the compound gate and forcibly entered the plot with heavy vehicles.
The complainant stated that he and his son, Rishabh Dugad, rushed to the spot after receiving a call from their site supervisor informing them about the alleged trespassing.
Upon reaching the location, they allegedly found Amit Lunkad, Raj Dhakalia, Rupesh Dhakalia, a person identified as Bidkar, Lunkad’s manager, and several unidentified individuals present at the site.
Threats and Intimidation Alleged
The FIR further states that the accused allegedly refused to vacate the premises and claimed ownership of the land. When the complainant objected, the group allegedly abused and threatened him with serious consequences if he did not leave the property.
The complainant has also alleged that weapons were seen inside some of the vehicles brought to the site.
A security guard posted at the site was reportedly assaulted during the incident.
Dispute Over Land Ownership
According to the complaint, Ravindra Dugad had legally purchased a 34.5-guntha portion of the land from Sumit Rathod in 2023. The complainant claims that all legal procedures, including property tax transfers, utility transfers, permissions, and construction approvals, had been completed before work on the site commenced.
The Dugad Group had also reportedly secured permissions from multiple authorities, including the Ministry of Defence, Fire Department, and Pune Municipal Corporation.
Charges Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita
The Airport Police have registered offences against the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, including:
Section 333 – House trespass after preparation for assault or wrongful restraint
Section 351(3) – Criminal intimidation
Section 352 – Intentional insult intended to provoke breach of peace
Section 324 – Mischief causing damage
Sections 189(2) and 189(6) – Unlawful assembly
The investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Nitin Gopal Rathod.

Police officials confirmed that no arrests have been made in the matter so far.
