Son-in-Law electrocuted by In-Laws, shocking incident sparks outrage in Konkan
Sindhudurg: In a shocking incident in Sindhudurg district, Konkan, a young man was allegedly killed by his in-laws using electric shock. The incident, which took place on Monday morning, has sent shockwaves throughout the region. The police have registered a case against the deceased’s wife and three others. The victim has been identified as Vasant alias Sagar Prabhakar Bhage, aged 32.
According to reports, Vasant, a resident of Mangaon Talewadi in Kudal Taluka, was found dead in a nursery in Sasarwad on Tuesday. The deceased’s brother has accused his in-laws of deliberately electrocuting Vasant. A complaint was lodged with the Vengurla police stating that Vasant was called by his wife, Nutan Shankar Gawde, to their residence at Adeli Sateri Galu on Monday night.
It is alleged that the accused set up a network of electric wires around the compound of Vasant’s house, intending to kill him. When Vasant arrived at his in-laws’ house, he came into contact with the wires and died from the electric shock.
The deceased’s brother suspects that a long-standing dispute between Vasant and his wife Nutan may have led to the murder. The Vengurla police have registered a murder case against Nutan, her father Shankar Gawde, and her mother Parvati Shankar Gawde, and all three have been detained for questioning.
