NCP (AP) dissolves Beed district party executive committee, setback for Minister Dhananjay Munde
Beed: The investigation agencies have sped up action in the Massajog Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case. At the same time, the NCP (AP) has given a big jolt to Minister Dhananjay Munde.
The party has dissolved its Beed district executive committee. This was revealed by party’s District President Rajeshwar Chavan.
An accused in the murder case, Vishnu Chate, was the taluka president of the party. Walmik Karad is allegedly the mastermind behind the murder, who is a close associate of Munde. This led the party to take the step.
Party President and DyCM Ajit Pawar held a meeting of senior office-bearers in the district and decided to dissolve the district panel. Later, Party State President Sunil Tatkare directed that the taluka and district heads of the party should, henceforth, be appointed only after a character verification. This indicates that the party now wants to keep criminal elements away from party posts.
