Dimbhe: In a disturbing development, larvae have been discovered in milk tetra packs provided to students at the New English Medium School in Ghodegaon, Ambegaon taluka. This incident has sparked outrage among parents and students, highlighting serious concerns about the quality of food and milk supplied to tribal ashram schools in the region.

The New English Medium School, one of 16 tribal ashram schools in Junnar, Ambegaon, and Khed talukas under the Ghodegaon Project, is part of a government initiative to provide sustenance to students. The discovery of larvae in the milk has raised questions about the oversight and administration of the Ghodegaon Project Office, located nearby.

Following the incident, representatives from the Birsa Brigade and SFI conducted an inspection of the milk boxes at the school. Both groups, alongside the school principal and superintendent, have called for stringent action against those responsible for this lapse in food safety. The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the matter.
