Pune: Group of Individuals Assaulted and Injured Woman and Her Neighbour over Past Argument in Katraj

In a shocking incident, a group of four to five individuals entered the house in Katraj and assaulted the woman and her neighbour with a bamboo stick and injured them. In this case, Priyanka Ravi Karde lodged a complaint against the accused at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.

Accordingly, the Bharti Vidyapeeth police registered a complaint against Suraj Kamble (a resident of Nanded Phata), Rakesh Kamble (a resident of Nanded Phata), Chetan Gaikwad (a resident of SRA colony, Katraj), and Akshay Tupe (a resident of Rajendra Nagar, Dattawadi) under the charges of attempted murder.

This entire incident took place on Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. in the SRA colony of Katraj.

As per the police information, the plaintiff and the accused individuals had an argument between them earlier. Harbouring the anger of earlier arguments in mind, the accused, on Sunday evening, entered the plaintiff’s house, enquired about her husband, Ravi Karde’s, whereabouts, and abused her. In the subsequent argument, the accused assaulted the plaintiff with a bamboo stick and damaged the house by breaking the television set and fish pot.

Further, when the plaintiff’s neighbour, Hanumant Dhavare, intervened to solve the argument between them, the accused also abused the neighbour and assaulted him with hands. The accused further threatened the neighbour to kill him and injured him by hitting him in the head with a bamboo stick.

The police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused in this case, and Assistant Police Inspector Patil is investigating further.
