Pune: New row in Indapur over Harshvardhan Patil’s candidature
Pune / Indapur: A controversy erupted after BJP leader and State Minister Harshvardhan Patil joined the NCP (SP). Another row is likely to surface as Patil has the possession of Congress Bhawan in Indapur.
District Congress President and Purandar-Haveli MLA Sanjay Jagtap has demanded with party leaders that Patil’s candidature should not be approved till he hands over the possession of the Bhawan to the party.
After Harshvardhan Patil joined the NCP (SP), local party leaders such as Pravin Mane, Bharat Shah and Appasaheb Jagdale expressed their displeasure over granting candidature to Patil. Now, Sanjay Jagtap has strongly disapproved of his candidature.
Sanjay Jagtap had a meeting with Congress leader Yashomati Thakur. Congress workers from Indapur raised the issue of the possession of Congress Bhawan. Therefore, Jagtap demanded with Thakur that Patil’s candidature should not be approved within the MVA till the Congress Bhawan is given back to the party.
